I'm handsome and I know it!

Peanut is quite the handsome boy!  Very alert and smart, loves to play and explore, once he adjusts to his environment. Very bonded to his litter mate, Snickers, and they must be adopted together.  He follows his foster mom everywhere.  When cuddling on the sofa, his paw must be touching her, making sure she is right there. He loves his toys, and will play catch by himself.  He loves tug of war, racing around the yard and rolling around in the grass.   He would love a home where he can go on walks, runs, play ball and be active with his bonded brother, Snickers.  A family with older kids would be perfect!   He bonds with one person at a time, so will need a little time to bond with a complete family.  He's shy and reserved to begin with, and needs time to feel comfortable.  We feel there was some abuse in his adoptive home.  Sweet boy, looking for his forever home!

Peanut was born at his foster mom's and was adopted out with his brother, Snickers.  They have been together since birth.  Unfortunately, a divorce tore their family of over a year apart.  He came back a bit insecure.  They are back with their original foster mom, loving it, being spoiled!  Peanut and Snickers must be adopted together so these lovable sweet boys don't have to deal with being torn apart from each other.   For 5 1/2 years they have been each other's comfort, strength and best friend.

Please consider opening your heart and home to these incredible loving boys!  You won't be disappointed!

Puppies cannot be adopted outside of the Houston area until they are spay/neutered after they are 4 months old.

It is against the law in the State of Texas for a rescue not to be sterilized so we have to make sure it gets completed and that we have record of it.

NOTE: In our bios, we provide information based on our volunteer's experience with a particular dog; such as temperament, training, and ability to get along with others.

AARF is a 501(c)3 Non Profit, all breed, no kill organization. Our group is always in need of donations in order to continue to give the needed medical care to our rescues. Adoption fees do not begin to cover all of the medical costs. Any donation , no matter how small is a big help and is greatly appreciated. Please help us to continue to help them. Thank you.
