"Hi everyone.......my name is Brie and I am such a happy girl.  I love my foster family and their own dogs, in fact, if you look at my photos and video you will see me playing with them.  I'm looking for a home to call my own but I don't mind sharing it - if you have a friend for me then that would be fine too.  I'm a 2 year old Pit Bull Terrier and my foster mom says that I can sometimes be a little stubborn, but that's just the terrier part of me.  She also tells me that I am very smart and she was very proud of me when I learned to sit, and lay down very quickly.  The first night I was in my foster family's home I was very nervous and barked at her own three dogs.  Two of them ignored me but the third barked back at me.  We got our differences sorted out very quickly and now we are now the best of friends.  Although I can sometimes be a little stubborn I am not a bossy girl.  Foster mom says that I am actually pretty submissive, whatever that means.  Sometimes I like to talk, it can sound a bit like a growl but it's just my way of communicating with you.  My family laugh at me when I talk - they think it is very comical.  Do you think my new family could be YOU?"

Brie is a happy and very loving dog.  She is currently in a home with 7 and 9 year old children and she is so gentle with them.  She loves to play wIth the 3 adult dogs in her foster home and with all the foster puppies who have trasitioned through however, she was nervous to begin with so please expect an adjustment period.  She loves her walks is kennel and potty trained and is currently working on her basic commands - sit, down, stay, etc.  She is treat motivated so very keen to learn.  We believe that Brie would do equally well in a home with, or without other pets as she has a large heart and loves everyone.  Pit Bulls need exercise so please do not consider adopting her if you cannot devote time to her exercise and training.  I promise you that if you give her the time she needs you will have a wonderful, loving, comical companion to share your life with.

Puppies cannot be adopted outside of the Houston area until they are spay/neutered after they are 4 months old.

It is against the law in the State of Texas for a rescue not to be sterilized so we have to make sure it gets completed and that we have record of it.

NOTE: In our bios, we provide information based on our volunteer's experience with a particular dog; such as temperament, training, and ability to get along with others.

AARF is a 501(c)3 Non Profit, all breed, no kill organization. Our group is always in need of donations in order to continue to give the needed medical care to our rescues. Adoption fees do not begin to cover all of the medical costs. Any donation , no matter how small is a big help and is greatly appreciated. Please help us to continue to help them. Thank you.
