Hi Folks!!!  King is my name and if you're wanting "a hunk of burning love" I am the guy for you!!! Plus, just look at how handsome I am!! My beautiful fur has grown out and I'm pretty fluffy now, but with this Texas heat I might ask for another 'shave down'. This has been such a hot summer!! Oh, hurry cooler weather!!!!!

I was found wondering in the park filthy, severely  matted and all alone.  A park can be a very scary place for dogs and I'm so happy I'm no longer there.  Since I was a picked up as a stray not much is known about my past, but my foster family says I'm about one of the sweetest  little dogs they have ever fostered.  I just like everyone!! Dogs, children, adults and yes even the cockatoo that lives here in my foster home, however, I'm not sure Charlie cares much for me. Silly bird!!!!

I just love the dog treats I get and I have no  food aggression at all. If I'm chewing on one of my dog bone chews I have no problem if one of the other furkids take it from me.  I just go and get another one.  Heck, life is too short to fight over a dog chew!!

I get so exicted when my foster mom gets the leash and we go for a walk. I do have a silly habit of jumping when I hear and see my leash, but we're working on stopping that.  When I walk I take everything in and everything gets my attention. I do have a bit of a habit of pulling when I see a bird, but I'm not that strong and aren't pulling my foster mom all over the place. It's not like I'm an English Mastiff pulling.

Sometimes when I sniff the other dog crates I lift my leg and do a little potty.   I know I shouldn't and I'm learning not to do that. When we go for our walks there are some really big dogs outside walking around!!! My foster mom calls them 'horses". I would like to play with them, but my foster mom doesn't think that's such a good idea.  We all know how those mothers can be.  So darn protective.  That's okay with me because I know my foster mom only wants the best for me.

I love it when my foster mom throws the ball.  I run and fetch it, bring it back and my foster mom throws that ball again. Oh, I have so much fun playing ball!!! If I'm not playing with the ball I'm playing with the other dogs!!!

If my foster mom or dad are sitting on the sofa I will jump up on their lap.  What a great place to be and one of my favorite places in the entire house.

I love my foster family very much, but I want a home that I can call my very own. Heck, what furkid doesn't.  My foster mom says I can only be adopted by that perfect person/family and I hope that will be soon.  I will make a wonderful loving furchild and whoever adopts me will be a very very lucky person.

My foster mom said if you have any questions please do not hesitate to email her at:

buslady6234@gmail.com

Hope to hear from you soon!!!

Love King!!!!

More about King

Good with Dogs, Good with Kids

The adoption fee includes vaccinations, Bordetella, de-worming, rabies, spay/neuter and microchip. There is a an additional $12.99 fee for Home Again for a lifetime registration of the microchip.

Puppies cannot be adopted outside of the Houston area until they are spay/neutered after they are 4 months old.

It is against the law in the State of Texas for a rescue not to be sterilized so we have to make sure it gets completed and that we have record of it.

NOTE: In our bios, we provide information based on our volunteer's experience with a particular dog; such as temperament, training, and ability to get along with others.

AARF is a 501(c)3 Non Profit, all breed, no kill organization. Our group is always in need of donations in order to continue to give the needed medical care to our rescues. Adoption fees do not begin to cover all of the medical costs. Any donation , no matter how small is a big help and is greatly appreciated. Please help us to continue to help them. Thank you.
