So, maybe I have a few habits that some folks might not like, but hey, I'm such a sweet gal so who wouldn't love me!! I'm just so precious!!!! Just look at my cute face and my darling ears!!!! I just can't decide which is cuter.

Oh, let me introduce myself.  I'm Princess Leia and all ten pounds of me is just eight pounds of LOVE!!! Well, I've been eating pretty good in my foster home and may have put on a few more pounds. Either way, a woman NEVER tells her true weight.

I was found roaming in the park and thankfully kind people picked me up and now I'm safe in AARF rescue.  Parks are such a scary place and when you're small like me you almost never survive.  Many of the larger dogs don't like the "smalls".  Okay, okay....no more of the scary stuff.

I love my foster home and the humans here are really cool, but what Princess doesn't want a home she call her very own.

My foster mom says I'm somewhat of a 'yappy' little girl and whoever adopts me needs to know this.  I just like to talk a lot and have a lot to say.  I will say I am not as yappy when the other dogs aren't around.  For some reason they really get me going. Maybe because I'm so small I just want the bigger dogs to know that I can hold my own and they need to listen to the Princess.

I'm not completely house broken and still need some work.  Okay, I'm going to have to be honest here.  My foster mom says I haven't been that easy to house break.  I just get so exicited that sometimes I just can't help myself.  I'm trying, I really am. Thank goodness my foster family is understanding and when I potty they just clean it up and take me outside and reward me when I potty in the yard.

I am always such a happy happy little girl.  Always jumping around and wanting to be picked up.  I just love sitting on my foster parents laps. Now, getting a bath I'm not real thrilled about, but I am good.  Just don't like that wet look.

I sure enjoy playing with the dogs here. My foster mom says I don't have a mean bone in my entire little body.  I'm just a sweet little girl with lots and lots of love to give!!!!! Oh, I got shaved today and feeling a bit naked. It's just been so hot and messing with all the rain that my foster mom felt a 'shave down' was needed. I'm still just as cute as ever!!!!

My foster mom says if you have any questions about little ole' me please email her at..... buslady6234@gmail.com

Will Love You Forever,

Princess Leia

More about Princess Leia

Good with Dogs, Good with Kids

The adoption fee includes vaccinations, Bordetella, de-worming, rabies, spay/neuter and microchip. There is a an additional $12.99 fee for Home Again for a lifetime registration of the microchip.

Puppies cannot be adopted outside of the Houston area until they are spay/neutered after they are 4 months old.

It is against the law in the State of Texas for a rescue not to be sterilized so we have to make sure it gets completed and that we have record of it.

NOTE: In our bios, we provide information based on our volunteer's experience with a particular dog; such as temperament, training, and ability to get along with others.

AARF is a 501(c)3 Non Profit, all breed, no kill organization. Our group is always in need of donations in order to continue to give the needed medical care to our rescues. Adoption fees do not begin to cover all of the medical costs. Any donation , no matter how small is a big help and is greatly appreciated. Please help us to continue to help them. Thank you.
