Bailey is a happy, friendly, gentle and lovable boy.  I often catch him staring at me with the kindest eyes.  He loves with all his heart.   He gets along well with large and small dogs, loves everyone he meets!  Great with children as well.  Bailey is very calm.  Loves to snuggle!  He enjoys playing with my other large dog Indy.  Bailey will crate with no problem but prefers to be out with people and pets.  He is house trained and is never destructive when left alone.  He learned to use the doggie door on his first day with me.  He saw my other pets go through and out he went!  Bailey sleeps in his doggie bed in my room at night.  He sleeps all night with occasional soft snoring. He often climbs in doggie bed with my doberman.  He is very gentle with my 16 year old miniature poodle  She loves Bailey.  He is the first foster I have had that she loves and gives kisses to. He gets very excited when I return home and whimpers a little from happiness.  He loves to give a welcome hug.  Bailey loves to go for car rides and on walks.  He pulls slightly at first from excitement but quickly slows and walks beside me.  When off of his leash at the stables, he comes as soon as called.  Bailey is my shadow at home.  Bailey will be your best buddy ever!!

Please contact  app@aarfhouston.org for more information about this dog. You can apply online by clicking on Application .

ADOPTION FEE:  The adoption fee includes vaccinations, bordetella, deworming, rabies, Microchip including a lifetime registration and spay/neuter.

PUPPIES   Texas State law requires that we sterilize any animal adopted through this agency.     This will normally occur between 5 and 6 months at one of our approved veterinarians at the expense of the rescue.

Children under 8 years old  often are not a good match for our puppies and dogs.   In order to protect both, your child and our rescued dogs/puppies from harm, we seldom if ever adopt to families with young children.

Approval:  You will be notified via email once your application is approved.  Once notified, we will schedule a meet and greet at one of our approved locations.   Thank you for considering a rescue!

The adoption fee includes vaccinations, Bordetella, de-worming, rabies, spay/neuter and microchip. There is a an additional $12.99 fee for Home Again for a lifetime registration of the microchip.

Puppies cannot be adopted outside of the Houston area until they are spay/neutered after they are 4 months old.

It is against the law in the State of Texas for a rescue not to be sterilized so we have to make sure it gets completed and that we have record of it.

NOTE: In our bios, we provide information based on our volunteer's experience with a particular dog; such as temperament, training, and ability to get along with others.

AARF is a 501(c)3 Non Profit, all breed, no kill organization. Our group is always in need of donations in order to continue to give the needed medical care to our rescues. Adoption fees do not begin to cover all of the medical costs. Any donation , no matter how small is a big help and is greatly appreciated. Please help us to continue to help them. Thank you.
