Gidget is my name! I am a little girl who was found with my litter mates in a box next to a dumpster. Who would do that to us? We were saved, and given all the love and care a little girl could ever need. And now, I am getting ready to find my forever home!
I am a sweet girl, who loves to cuddle and play. We have a cat tunnel that we play with. It is so funny to run through and make all that crackling noise. I wait until one of my siblings is in the tunnel and then I pounce on them. They squeal - then we run and find a ball or a rope to play tug with. I am going to be a very small dog, so mom says NO Small Children in my future. Tiny bones break too easily.
If you are interested in meeting me, please apply! I am only doing private meetings.
Puppies that are under 4 months old cannot be adopted outside of our Veterinary Service area. Please call for specific locations.
Children under 8 years old often are not a good match for our puppies and dogs. In order to protect both, your child and our rescued dogs/puppies from harm, we seldom if ever adopt to families with young children.
Once your application is approved, we will schedule a meet and greet at one of our adoption events. Thank you for considering a rescue!

Puppies cannot be adopted outside of the Houston area until they are spay/neutered after they are 4 months old.
It is against the law in the State of Texas for a rescue not to be sterilized so we have to make sure it gets completed and that we have record of it.
NOTE: In our bios, we provide information based on our volunteer's experience with a particular dog; such as temperament, training, and ability to get along with others.
AARF is a 501(c)3 Non Profit, all breed, no kill organization. Our group is always in need of donations in order to continue to give the needed medical care to our rescues. Adoption fees do not begin to cover all of the medical costs. Any donation, no matter how small is a big help and is greatly appreciated. Please help us to continue to help them. Thank you.
