My name is Bear. I'm a gorgeous black lab mix with a chocolate sheen coming through. This makes my coat so pretty.  A nice lady rescued me from my yard before my eyes were open. My owners had moved out of their house, took my mommy and left me and my siblings. My foster mommy took me and my sister, Lucy, and bottle fed us until we could eat big puppy food on our own. I'm growing fast and I'm a fast learner. I am good with using the potty pads in my pen but still have a few accidents when I get to run around the house. I also know how to use a doggy door when my foster mommy takes us outside to play. I love playing tug of war, chasing balls and playing with squeaky toys. I get along well with the other dogs in my home, big and small, and I play with kids of all ages every day. At night, after my foster family wears me out, I love to flop myself down and take a nap, preferably in a lap. I'm almost ready for my furever home and hope that you will let me pick you!

Good with Dogs, Good with Kids

The adoption fee includes vaccinations, Bordetella, de-worming, rabies, spay/neuter and microchip. There is a an additional $12.99 fee for Home Again for a lifetime registration of the microchip.

Puppies cannot be adopted outside of the Houston area until they are spay/neutered after they are 4 months old.

It is against the law in the State of Texas for a rescue not to be sterilized so we have to make sure it gets completed and that we have record of it.

NOTE: In our bios, we provide information based on our volunteer's experience with a particular dog; such as temperament, training, and ability to get along with others.

AARF is a 501(c)3 Non Profit, all breed, no kill organization. Our group is always in need of donations in order to continue to give the needed medical care to our rescues. Adoption fees do not begin to cover all of the medical costs. Any donation , no matter how small is a big help and is greatly appreciated. Please help us to continue to help them. Thank you.
