Boba was rescued from a bad situation.    She was brought into the rescue matted, emaciated, heart worm positive and full of intestinal worms.

She has been in boarding for while.  We treated her for heartworms and shaved the matts off of her body, she looks pretty rough, but just needs a loving home where she can build some confidence.

Don't you want a special companion?   She deserves to be loved.

Hello!   We have had Boba one week.   In that time she has started to show her personality.  While she follows both my daughter Christina and I around, she appears to be claiming Chris as her human.   We have two household pets - Petey (10# dog) and Munchie (13# cat).   While Petey and Boba "get along" - Muchie teases her - which gets Boba barking.  Boba does stop barking when told "no".     She does not seek the cat out.

Boba sleeps through the night with one of her human's in the room and she is house broken.  When Boba is outside she explores the backyard.   There has been no digging in the yard.   She does not stay in the backyard for long because it is to warm for her.  (She is quite the fluffy dog!)

Boba enjoys being brushed and her back end scratched.    She does very well in the house.    Her biggest challenge are the stairs which are wood tread.   Going up she is very careful, coming down she is much faster.

We had a friend over this weekend.  Boba did well.  Once the introduction was made, Boba found another human willing to scratch her and give her attention which she was fine with.

Week 2 with Boba!    Goodness, Boba is quite mellow!    She spends the day with Christina, who works from home.    She comes down stairs at breaks and lunch.   Once in a while she comes down just to see what Petey and I are doing.    We haven't been able to go out walking with her yet as it is still to hot.   Christina works at brushing her out, but she is not amused with it.   One or two passes, she is back out in the yard.   We are looking to have her groomed this week.    At this point - the family has nick named her the "floufinator" or "flouffy".  No it is not "Fluffy" LOL.   She is a very kind dog, who would really like to make friends with the cat.   LOL - the cat still prefers to tease.     We have had repairmen at the door and while she barks to let us know there is someone at the door, she wants to be petted by them.   Another good week!

More to follow,

WEEK 3 with Boba

Grooming of Boba has taken place!  She looks fabulous.   The groomer gave her two lavender bows, LOL.  (See Pictures)   We believe with daily brushing we can keep her beautiful and comfortable.     Boba remains attached to my daughter and follows her every where.   We have started working on leaving her - so she gets used to us coming and going.   So far so good!   Boba has started showing us her playfulness.  She is curious - LOL - keep your purse closed!   (See pixs)    There is something that smells really good at the bottom of the purse - LOL.    The cat still teases Boba - but she is able to ignore it, sometimes!

More to follow!

WEEK 4 with Boba

CHOMP CHOMP CHOMP - Boba enjoying her ice cube!   She enjoys an ice cube when we are outside on the patio!    We have discovered she is not thrilled with thunder, however, as long as a human is close by she won't bark.   My daughter is good about grooming Boba - but Boba will tell her to "talk to the tail" and walk / run away.   LOL    Boba is a couch potatoe...  She sits with my daughter all day while at work.   We have decided she is a cuddle bug.  She likes having contact with her humans and wants to be a part of any conversation.

More to follow

WEEK 5 with Boba

We are in a routine with Boba.   She really likes my daughter's work schedule!   She knows when she gets a treat, eats her two meals a day, and goes outside.   She still sleeps next to or watches my daughter while she works.    We have also been out of the house a couple of times - running errands.  Although she tries to go out the door with us, she does well while we are gone.   She is nosy  however, we know to put things up.  We saw her gallop this week in the back yard.  This is a first, normally it is walking around the yard.    Each week brings a little more of her personality out.    She would be (and is) a great companion.

WEEK 6 with Boba

Really a quiet week with Boba.  You see she stays cool in her human's office/bedroom.   If she isn't in front of the fan, she will lay on the cool tile in the bathroom.  LOL - she knows what to do! We took a couple of trips, out of the house and she did well.   She is more comfortable with our coming and going.   LOL - it doesn't mean she tries to come with us - she is at the ready at the garage door!   She is a great companion.

WEEK 7 with Boba

Boba has her Holloween costume!  She sparkles in her dragon suit.  LOL - she really does not want to show her face.  "Hey, human I look silly!"     We  had a new event with Boba - she has started sleeping in my room at night.  I now have Petey and Munchie - all snoring away!  We think my room is cooler.    You will LOVE Boba as a companion.   She is so sweet and would be a wonderful companion!

WEEK 8 with Boba

Tomorrow is a visit to the vet to have her dental work done and nails clipped.   Our ice maker has been replaced and sounds like someone knocking at the door when it empties.   SO you guessed it, the dogs bark at the sound!   LOL ...   No new photos or video this week.  Boba started playing fetch with my daughter.   She is a big tease however, she doesn't turn the toy over without making Chris work for it!   Who knew!

WEEK 9 with Boba

Boba had a tough week.  Thanks to AARF, she had her teeth cleaned.   She was green around the gills post cleaning due to the anesthetic for a couple of days.   She is doing much better now and is back to her normal laid back self!    She got to take a car ride with Alex and Chris.   She loves doing this!    Not only does she like riding, she loves getting out with her humans!   BOBA is fluffed and buffed and ready to show herself off!   She is a loving and sweet spirit!  She is ready for her forever home!        MORE to follow!

WEEK 10 with Boba

A good with our fluffy lady.  She got to go to the farmers market.   It was nice and cool so the family got out walking.   Boba was great.   She enjoyed meeting other humans.   Once she was able to sniff the hand, she got scratched and petted.   She came home and had a good nap.   We had plumbing issues at the house so that brings repairmen.   Thanks to Boba we knew they were at the door and once again, once they let her take a sniff, there were no issues in the house.   Now I am telling you this - to keep minds at ease about what a good do she is!   MORE to follow!

Week 13 -
One of my humans is on vacation.  I let the others know something is going by the house.  I am a good watch dog.  I love my walks and they are getting longer, I am getting so good on the leash.  I have has a couple of big guys come by and I was scared of them.  As long as I have my human with me I am a good girl.  I will be with you when I do not feel secure.  I would love a home where I can be with my best friends all day.

WEEK 14

My "SR" Human has returned from being gone a month.   I have been getting good hugs and scratches!    I had my spa day!   It was great.   I look extra fluffy again.  My toenails look so good!  I have really had good walks - and have been able do a lot of ground sniffing - SOOO much fun!    I would be a good companion for an adult.  I like being with my human.  My back end makes me slow to get up and down but once I get moving, I am good.  Come and meet me!

December 15, 2021 -

Boba is doing better with the stairs.   She has been enjoying the cooler weather - by staying out a little longer in the back yard.   The dogs and cat wonder what all of the decorations are.  The cat keeps thinking he can climb the tree.  LOL    Boba ignores the tree - all together.   Boba is a wonderful lady.    She would be great for a single person - especially one that works from home.  They would have a great companion.
